The Story So Far...
This item first appeared in "Keep Your Enemies Closer" September 2001 event. In this quest you gain 3 points of Magic Defense Skill!!!
Step 0: Preparation
Magic Protects to the hilt!!!
Step1: Find and Kill a Shadow called "Dark Inferno"
On the Obsidian Plains there is a new, very rare spawn. It is a "Dark Inferno." If you see one and aren't buffed, RUN!!! If you are buffed (and are very especially brave) fight it. Since it is described as "a twisted manifestation of the element of fire" I would recommend using cold against it.
Step 2: The Scroll
If it drops a scroll (unsure of drop rate as yet) take it to Fanzen San the Translator 39.2S 81.6E. She is located 2-3 clicks west of Hebian-To, and this is what will happen when you give it to her:
Fanzen San the Translator tells you, "This is a scroll detailing how to summon a creature known as a Dark Inferno, a shadow twisted manifestation of the element of fire." "It is good that you brought this to me, for I fear the repercussions were someone else to retrieve it. You are a stalwart adventurer, so I will share some of the knowledge imparted upon me by some of the translated Falatacot texts I have discovered."
