Yes, that scoundrel who murdered Gertah has been quite busy creating his very own dagger. You can obtain it but it is not that easy to do. The first part of this quest is exactly like Hammud's Pyreal Katar.
Steps To Follow:
Find an ash gromnie tooth. You can do this by fighting ash gromnies occasionally one will drop and you will be able to pick it up.
Take the tooth to an Ivory Crafter (Cragstone or Zhaikal). The crafter will give you a dagger and a letter.
Take the letter to an old woman outside of Zhaikal. She will give you another letter to take to the Mountain Fortress at 82.4S,19.9E. At the lowest level you will find King Hammud. Give him the letter and he will give you a key to access the Empryean Foundry at 25.2 S & 54.2E. This is located just outside of Sawato.
Enter the foundry and obtain the pyreal dagger. Once again this dagger can be found on the bottom level.
Return to the mountain fortress by passing through the shadows and other nasty creatures.
When you reach Hammud you will discover that he too is a shadow now. Give him the dagger from the foundry. He will hand you his last testatment.
Take this back to his Hammud's daughter back in Zhaikal she will then give you Oswald's Dagger.
