Here is some useful information that i collected about the Mnemosyne quest. Huge thanks to Arkad, Axen, Majiya bint Branith, Matt, Mechan, Phoenix Wolfsun, Risque, Wolfbyte, Zach and and Zedjin for sending in the info - sure hope i didn't miss anyone ;). First off, here is a list of creatures that drop Mnemosyne:
Tiny Mnemosyne - Low-level Undead, Mu-Miyah and Skeletons
Small Mnemosyne - Mid-level Undead, Mu-Miyah and Skeletons
Large Mnemosyne - High-level Undead, Mu-Miyah and Skeletons
Once you get a hold of some Mnemosyne, you can head over to 13.3S 5.1E (near Tufa) and hand it over to one of the two people you will find there. Depending on who you give it to and what type it is, you will recieve, arrows, peerless healing kits or the new treated healing kits.
The other option is to exchange the Mnemosyne for xp at the Mnemosyne Collection Site (2.6S 16.4E) that can be found west of Samsur. At the collection site, three Undead NPC's can be found, each of them will accept only a certain type of the substance. Simply hand your Mnemosyne to the appropriate Undead to recieve experience points.
People will lockpicking skill also have the option of unlocking the Mnemosyne. In order to unlock the triangles, head over to Samsur with 12,000p in cash, and purchase the Intricate Carving Tool from the general store. Then, find a heart of a Wood (Intricate Wooden Key - tiny), Copper (Intricate Copper Key) or Obsidian (Intricate Obsidian Key - large) Golem and use the tool on it in order to make a key. Once you get the key, use it on the corresponding Mnemosyne to unlock it.
